With support from Southern Africa Trust, the forum will hold a series of roadshows that will be held in Capricorn (Lebowakgomo), Sekhukhune and Waterberg. These roadshows seeks to create community immunity against COVID-19 whilst also enhancing smallholder farmers’ resilience through development of the projects’ performance. The focus is on; COVID-19, Soil health and OPV seeds management, Agri-enterpise formalization & compliance, Cooperative marketing & procurement and, Public Expenditure Tracking Survey (PETS).
World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honor of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. The day is celebrated widely by many other organizations concerned with food security, including the World Food Programme and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
